From Wife and Mother to Children's Author
Growing up, I battled intense fears, especially of public speaking and swimming. After marriage and having children, I was determined not to pass these fears onto them. I sought help through books, prayer, and meditation, but it wasn't until a breakthrough in October 2020 that I found true healing. Inspired by God, I wrote The Fearless Princess, which reflected my daughter's challenges and deeply touched me. Tears trickled down my face as I read the words that I had just typed out. My family's fearless encouragement led me to publish the What Will A-Tal Play Today book series and The Fearless Princess children's book.

How My Kids Made Me An Author
Early one morning at four o’clock, I woke up with the words to my first children’s book, What Will A-Tal Play Today? Play day at recess. My husband encouraged me not to leave the words on paper but to share those words with the world. The What Will A-Tal Play Today book series is inspired by the life of my son, Asa (A-Tal). Asa loves to play and he loves music. This book is fun, interactive, and relatable. With technology consuming a considerable amount of children's time, my goal for this book series is to encourage children all over the world to be adventurous and to enjoy the years of their youth by getting outside to play.
The Fearless Princess is my second children’s book. The Fearless Princess is inspired by real-life events from my daughter’s life. The Princess is faced with many common fears children are often faced with, like sleeping alone in the dark, trying new things, and even bullying. Her journey to overcoming fear is inspiring children all over the world to be confident, courageous, and FEARLESS. As a mom and author, my desire is to write fun, inspiring, and relatable stories thereby inspiring children to not just read but become avid readers and creative writers.
